Hamilton Pool

My mom is visiting and Friday we went to Hamilton Pool... by far one of the coolest places we have visited in the Austin area. It is essentially a huge grotto that was formed when an underground cave collapsed thousands of years ago, leaving a half dome-shaped ledge that covers much of the pool. The pool is filled by a steady stream of water which falls to the rocks and water below. The pool leads into a brook that eventually feeds into the Pedernales River.

SO COOL...
